The Hut Sleeps 4

If you’re looking for a cozy, affordable place to stay at Big Elk Floats and Camping, The Hut offers a simple and charming option just steps from the bathhouse and close to all campground amenities.

This compact cabin features a spacious bunk bed that comfortably sleeps up to four guests, with a queen-size bed on the bottom and a full-size bed on top—perfect for small families or couples with kids. The Hut is air conditioned and includes basic bed linens (fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcases). Guests should plan to bring their own pillows, blankets, and towels.

Inside, you’ll find a refrigerator and microwave for easy meals and snacks. There is no TV or Wi-Fi, making this a great place to unplug and enjoy the outdoors.

Guests enjoy access to our clean, well-maintained bathhouses, as well as our basketball and volleyball courts for added fun during your stay. Be sure to stop by our on-site rental office and store to rent boats, grab snacks, and stock up on essentials before heading out for a memorable float trip on the Elk River.

Stay Details

• Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM. (Please visit the office first to register, sign waivers, and collect your car tags and wristbands).
• Holiday Weekends: A 3-night minimum stay is required for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
• Quiet Hours: 10:29 PM – 7:00 AM. We are a “peace of the creek” community. Please keep music and conversation contained within your campsite at all times.
• Bonus Perk: Your stay includes two free lunch/dinner passes for your daytime visitors!
